An n8n alternative you ask for.

n8n is the better canvas and it is free. Daciel builds the first agent for you, owns the inbox and the phone, and puts a person in front of anything that leaves.

Nine accounts renew inside 30 days and three of them are the ones to worry about. Their ticket volume is up while usage is falling, which is the pattern that preceded every churn last quarter.

Runs

Every step, every tool call, every cost, and who approved it.

Generated, then edited

n8n starts blank and rewards a technical builder. Daciel starts from five questions: the agent is live, the automation is scheduled, and the graph it made is ordinary nodes you can open. The approval inbox is one a business owner actually reads.

Acme wants a renewal quote. Their contract is up in three weeks.

Ana Duarte9:12 AM

Ticket volume has climbed every month this quarter. Read that before we price it.

Marcus Hale9:13 AM

So someone pulls usage, open tickets and the last two invoices. Three systems.

Priya Raman9:14 AM

And most of an afternoon. Hand it over and hold the send until one of us reads it.

Why look for a n8n alternative?

n8n is an open-source workflow automation tool with a node canvas, self-hosting, and cloud plans from about €20 a month for 2,500 executions, where an execution is one run regardless of steps.

How to switch from n8n

Connect what you keep

Your mailbox, store, billing and CRM connect in one click each. n8n itself can stay connected while you run both.

Set the brief

Hours, policies, what may be resolved alone and what waits for a person. Plain language, no macro import.

Start with everything held

Every send, spend and change is held for a named approver until the record earns a looser rule.

Run in parallel

Route one channel or one queue to Daciel first. Compare the record, not the demo.

Move the rest

Point the remaining channels and the phone line at Daciel. Cancel the seats you no longer pay for.

n8n alternatives, compared

Each row is a real substitute. The columns are the three things that decide it: which channels it owns, how a person stays in control, and what the month costs.

Best for	Channels	How a person stays in control	Published pricing
Zapier Agents	Teams already on Zapier that want agents beside their Zaps	8,000 app integrations	Approval steps inside a Zap	400 activities a month free; about $33 a month on Pro, separate from task billing
Make	Visual automation builders who count operations	App integrations	None built in	Per operation; published on their site
Gumloop	Operators who want to build the agent themselves on a node canvas	Whatever you wire up; no inbox or phone line of its own	Human-in-the-loop nodes you add to the flow	Credit-based plans; published on their site
Lindy	Individuals and small teams building assistants that live in Slack and email	Email, Slack, calendar, phone via integrations	Confirmation steps you add	$29.99 / $99.99 / $199.99 per user, plus credits
Dacielthis site	Businesses that want agents set up for them in five questions, editable afterwards as an ordinary graph	Email, messaging, phone and a thousand connected tools; a canvas of ordinary nodes	Approval nodes with a named person and an expiry; every run logged with its cost	Contact Daciel for business plan availability and pricing.

Competitor pricing as published on each vendor's site, read 2026-08-19. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the row says so.

Questions people ask before buying

Is Daciel a drop-in n8n alternative?

Not node for node. n8n has more raw primitives and a larger connector library. Daciel builds the first agent for you from five questions, owns an inbound channel and the phone, and puts an approval queue in front of anything that leaves.

Can I still build on a canvas?

Yes. Everything Daciel generates is ordinary nodes on a canvas you can edit, and you can draw from scratch when you prefer.

How does pricing compare with n8n?

n8n meters tasks, operations or credits. Daciel business plan availability, included usage and pricing are confirmed during setup.

What connectors are available?

More than a thousand tools, each connection scoped to the person who made it, plus email, messaging and a phone number Daciel holds.

How long does moving a workflow take?

Describe it in the chat and Daciel builds it; check the graph and place the approvals. Most simple workflows move in minutes.
