HR that lives with the business.

Nine accounts renew inside 30 days and three of them are the ones to worry about. Their ticket volume is up while usage is falling, which is the pattern that preceded every churn last quarter.

The HR system a 30-person company needs

A thirty-person company does not need an HR department's software. It needs to know who works here and who they report to, to hire without losing candidates in an inbox, to onboard without a checklist on paper, and to answer a time-off request the same day. Daciel's People section does those four, over the same records the rest of the business runs on, and refuses in words the payroll it does not do.

Acme wants a renewal quote. Their contract is up in three weeks.

Ticket volume has climbed every month this quarter. Read that before we price it.

So someone pulls usage, open tickets and the last two invoices. Three systems.

And most of an afternoon. Hand it over and hold the send until one of us reads it.

@Daciel draft the Acme renewal from usage and tickets, hold the send

Two things it does on day one

What HR software for a small business should do

The search is held by Gusto, ADP, Zoho People, Paycom and BambooHR, and by listicles ranking them. All of them start from payroll: the employee record exists so someone can be paid, and HR features grow around it. For a company of five to two hundred that already has a payroll provider, buying a second payroll to get a directory is the wrong shape.

How People works

01

Import or add the team

From a spreadsheet or your payroll provider. Each person gets a record with role, manager and start date.

02

Set who approves

Time-off requests and offers go to the named manager; you set the exceptions.

03

Hire from a pipeline

Candidates are records with stages. The agent drafts replies, schedules interviews and holds the offer for approval.

04

Onboard from a checklist

Tasks assigned to the hire, the manager and IT, each ticked on the record, each overdue one chased by the agent.

05

Requests in the queue

A time-off request is held for the manager and cleared from the approval queue, then filed on the person.

Payroll refused in wordsFilings and tax tables are not a screen here; connect the provider that does them

Safe for people data. Employee records carry the strictest permissions in the product, every change is logged with its approver, and payroll is refused rather than faked.

How permissions work

Questions people ask before buying

Does Daciel run payroll?

No. It does not run payroll, file taxes or administer benefits, and the screen says so. Connect Gusto, Rippling or your provider and keep it for that.

What does the People section include?

A directory, a hiring pipeline, onboarding checklists and time-off requests, each a ledger over the employee record, with the agent drafting and a manager approving.

How are time-off balances handled?

A request is held for the manager and filed on the person. Balance and accrual policies live with your payroll provider today.

Who can see employee records?

Only the people your permissions name. Employee records carry the strictest default permissions in the product, and every read of a sensitive field is logged.

What does it cost?
