Does it need closed books?

No. It computes from the invoices, expenses and bank rows as they stand today, and again after the accountant closes the month.

Which ratios does it show?

Revenue by customer and product, gross margin, receivables ageing, payables due, cash position and their movement against the period before. Not a full ratio library.

Can my accountant use it?

Yes. The figures export with their definitions, and the accountant can be given read access to the Finance section.

Does it do bookkeeping?

No. Bookkeeping is Meinry's job; Daciel reads the books and reports from them.
