Cookies & choices.
The fine print.
Effective date: October 21, 2026.
Daciel uses browser storage for service operation, preferences and measurement. The footer’s Privacy choices control lets you allow or decline optional analytics and advertising storage without changing your essential service access.
1. Essential storage
Authentication, session security, requested preferences and service operation can use cookies or local storage. Disabling them in the browser can prevent sign-in or other requested features. These purposes are distinct from optional advertising or analytics.
2. Consent and presentation records
The current implementation stores the choice granted or denied under mira_consent_v1 in local storage and a cookie. The cookie is set for up to one year; local storage remains until changed or cleared. This record allows the site to remember and apply your decision. The legacy technical key does not identify a separate service.
The public hero uses daciel_reference_visits, a first-party cookie lasting up to 90 days, to choose a returning-visitor greeting. The session-storage key daciel_reference_counted avoids repeatedly increasing that counter during the browser session. These presentation records are distinct from account authentication and do not contain your name or email. Clearing site data resets the greeting history.
3. Analytics and advertising
Where Google measurement tags are configured, analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization default to denied. Allowing optional cookies updates those categories to granted. Declining leaves them denied. Google’s consent mode can still send limited cookieless measurement signals when storage is denied; declining storage is not a promise that no network request is sent.
The exact vendor cookies depend on the tags enabled, your choice and provider configuration. Vercel or infrastructure performance measurement, where enabled, can operate without advertising cookies. Browser developer tools can show the storage currently present on your device.
4. Changing a choice
Select Privacy choices in the public-site footer at any time. You can also clear site data or block cookies using browser settings. A change applies to subsequent processing; use browser controls to remove previously stored vendor cookies. Clearing site data can sign you out and reset preferences.
5. Email and connected services
Newsletter consent is separate from browser-cookie consent. Use the newsletter unsubscribe link to stop those emails. A third-party service opened from Daciel uses its own cookies and notice. Contact privacy@vmira.ai with questions about a particular cookie or privacy signal.
