The product problem

A booking journey can begin with a question that does not fit a search form. The person may need to explain a destination, dates or a particular constraint before choosing a stay. Turning that conversation into a useful result requires more than a voice response.

Callstay connects a web discovery experience and a voice-led booking workflow. The product architecture treats search, a supplier quote, explicit confirmation and payment as distinct steps with different owners.

Designing the handoff

The documented workflow first resolves the stay request and retrieves available options. It then creates a supplier quote or hold rather than assuming that a search result is a final price.

Before moving forward, the conversation reads back the property, dates, guests, total and cancellation terms. The guest’s explicit decision is a boundary between exploring an option and proceeding with it.

Keeping payment in the right place

The payment path leaves the call and continues in a browser through a supplier-managed payment experience. The product does not ask the caller to dictate card details to the agent.

A subsequent booking step uses the supplier’s transaction result to confirm the reservation. This keeps a conversational statement about payment separate from the system responsible for accepting the booking.

What this demonstrates

The project connects experience design, supplier integration, voice tools and stateful follow-up. Each channel has a clear task: discovery helps someone find an option, the conversation resolves requirements, and the browser provides the payment interaction.

The delivery lesson is to design the transition between channels as carefully as the individual interfaces. A useful handoff preserves the agreed details and gives the person a clear next step.

Explore the booking journey

Callstay connects discovery, a spoken request and a quoted stay to the supplier's payment and booking process. This portfolio study focuses on the handoffs that keep the guest's intent, price and confirmation connected.

Inventory and payment availability depend on supplier access and the integration environment. The guesthouse artwork is a concept illustration of the hospitality experience.
